i just cleared 50 grand take home, how would you invest some of that?

ima simple man and took a opportunity to build a house brand new and sell it and the land and after using a little for my down on the next place i live. i was wondering some good investment ideas for anywhere from 5,000 to say 30,000. of my money:)
